4月，境外机构投资者共达成现券交易16048亿元1，同比减少8%、环比减少16%，交易量占同期现券市场总成交量的约4%。4月，境外机构投资者买入债券8727亿元，卖出债券7320亿元，净买入1407亿元。其中，通过结算代理模式达成6200亿元（代理交易5525亿元、直接交易675亿元），净买入943亿元；通过债券通模式达成9848亿元，净买入464亿元。
In April, the cash bond trading turnover of overseas investors amounted to 1604.8 billion yuan, with decrease of 8% YoY and of 16% MoM. This amount represented about 4% of the total turnover for interbank cash bond market of the same month. The total monthly figure comprised 872.7 billion yuan of bond purchase and 732.0 billion yuan of bond sell, giving a net purchase of 140.7 billion yuan. The turnover reached 620.0 billion yuan for CIBM Direct (552.5 billion yuan through agent trade and 67.5 billion yuan through Direct-RFQ Service（SCI）) with net purchase of 94.3 billion yuan, and 984.8 billion yuan for Bond Connect with net purchase of 46.4 billion yuan.
4月，境外机构投资者在延长时段共成交2071亿元，占同期境外机构交易量的约13%。
